What is Cryptocurrency?
It is a digital currency that uses blockchain technology to operate. Unlike traditional currencies, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Binance Coin (BNB), and Solana (SOL) exist purely digitally and are stored in digital wallets, which makes it decentralized and not subjected to government regulations.
How Does Cryptocurrency Work?
There are three major principles of how cryptocurrency works:
1. Decentralization:
The absence of a central governing authority means that transactions are handled in a peer-to-peer manner. Users are capable of sending and receiving money without the help of intermediates.
2. Blockchain Technology:
Blockchains are digital ledgers with a complete record of all transactions. When a transaction is executed, a block is created, and as more transactions occur, more blocks get linked to previous ones ensuring data integrity.
3. Cryptography:
The concern of security has increased more than ever today. Any cryptocurrency transactions that take place are secured with cryptographic techniques that make it impossibe to alter or fake the transactions and keeps the tradings private.
